Updated Oct 9, 2026: Newburgh is doing leaf pickup this fall. The Town of Newburgh has set two 2026 leaf pickup days, Fri Nov 20 and Fri Dec 18, for bagged leaves inside town limits.
Warrick County’s fall clear-out comes down to a free shred morning in Boonville, two Newburgh leaf days and self-haul for the rest. The county doesn’t run a full household hazardous-waste or tire amnesty weekend, so special events and drop-offs fill the gaps.
Why care + what to do this week
Earlier this fall we told Newburgh homeowners there was no separate leaf day under the town’s trash contract. The town has since announced two. Leaves are just starting to come down, so there’s time: pick up leaf bags now and plan your raking so the bags are full by the night before Nov 20. Anything that falls after that waits for Dec 18. Outside Newburgh town limits, this pickup doesn’t apply. Before the leaves, Boonville has a free paper-shred morning on Fri Oct 16.
