What needs a permit in Chandler

Building / Improvement Permit — required, in the town’s own words, if you are planning to construct a new building or make a change to your property or building within the town limits. That second half catches a lot of projects people assume are exempt.
Driveway Permit — for construction of a driveway or entrance.
Drainage Culvert Permit — for installing, improving or modifying a drainage structure.
Manufactured Home Permit — for a new manufactured home, or replacing one with a different one.
Electrical Inspection — required for electrical service that has been disconnected for a year or longer. Worth knowing if you are bringing a vacant property back.

Chandler is in Warrick County, so building code enforcement sits with the Warrick County Building Department at 107 West Locust St, Suite 208 in Boonville — (812) 897-6188, weekdays 8:00 to 4:00.
